Day 27: A Day in the Rain
The heavy rain pours relentlessly today, from East to West. The gray skies and constant downpour mirrors the weight in my chest. There’s something about the rain that makes everything feel heavier.
And today, I find myself struggling to find words. I had hoped for a better day, but here is rainy season.
I will try again tomorrow, when the skies clear, and the weight lifts. Until then, I am here, just sitting with the drops.

Dear Rainer,
ReplyDeletesince the journey is about to come to a close, I wanted to thank you for the lively reports and all the carefully researched background information. I have been reading every single blog and discussed it with Angela. The downside of reading the blog is, when you return to Herrsching we will not ask you about the cruise and will not want to see any photos, because we have seen it all. Enjoy the rest of the trip and the time in Malaysia. Best wishes for Joon and for yourself.
Loems and Angela
Dear Angela and Loems,
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind and supportive comment. At times, it can be a challenge to settle on the topic of the day. Occasionally, an idea emerges, and as I write, it grows into a story that requires background and research. It’s as if the journey takes on a new dimension.
But as they say, the show must go on. While the cruise will come to an end on 15 December, the blog will continue. Though I’ll miss the soothing sound of the waves as I write, it will soon be replaced by the gentle chirping of crickets.
Warm regards,
Rainer and Joon
